rezemo GmbH creates innovative packaging solutions, including coffee capsules made of wood, which are 100% renewable and free of microplastics. A key challenge is ensuring the capsules are sealed properly with natural rubber to withstand high water pressure during coffee preparation. To improve efficiency and scalability, rezemo opted for low-cost automation with an igus 2-axis line gantry and dryve D1 controller, seamlessly integrated into a Python-based control system on a Raspberry Pi.

The automated system handles capsules post-dosing, using a vacuum gripper to remove them, stack them on a timed conveyor, and move them into a drying tunnel for final processing.
