L'asse rotante esterno robolink® D consente movimenti circolari del pezzo. Sono spesso chiamati anche ralle, tavole rotanti indexate o tavole girevoli e consentono il trasporto continuo a varie stazioni in un'unica fase di lavoro. Il raggio d'azione del robot viene esteso, rendendo i robot molto più flessibili nelle loro applicazioni. L'asse rotante è azionato elettromeccanicamente da un motore passo-passo tramite un riduttore con trasmissione 48:1.
